Start a Let Me Run team.

To start a team, you will need a site contact, head coach, and assistant coach. The site contact can be a coach. Then, decide if your team will be 4th and 5th graders or 6th through 8th graders. Also remember, your team will meet twice a week for seven weeks, and the season will end with a celebratory 5k.

Thanks for your interest in starting a team! Just follow these 3 easy steps, and your team will be up and running in no time.

Attend Coaches Training

Dates are on the Training page. It is necessary to attend training every two years. We strongly encourage both coaches to attend training, but it is only necessary for the head coach to attend. Training Schedule

Communication reminders for coaches that will help get you team off the ground:

  • Communicate with your regional director or regional liaison about participant registration dates. Advertise dates that participant registration will open and close, the program start date, and days of practice.
  • E-blast ads and marketing posters are available under coach tools on our website.
  • Once the program begins, send out weekly and pre-race communication to parents. Examples are under coach tools.
