The Impact of Connection and Movement on Mental Health

To celebrate Veterans Day, we’ll also raise a glass to the veterans among us, who know what it means to persevere and finish strong.

Our boys are struggling.

Together, we can change that.

Young people across the country are facing a mental health crisis.

28%of male high school students experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in 2023, up from 21% in 2013.
1 in 4boys and young men ages 12–21 have no adult male to help them navigate their long-term goals.
15%of adolescents ages 12 to 17 meet the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity.
25%of U.S. men ages 15–34 reported feeling lonely “a lot of the previous day.”
16.5%of U.S. youth ages 6–17 have a mental health disorder — more than 1 in 7.

No boy should have to run this race alone. Let Me Run surrounds boys with coaches who believe in them, teammates who have their back, and tools to keep their bodies and minds healthy. We help them start strong, so they can finish strong.

What Our Boys Build

Using the power of running and a proven curriculum, Let Me Run helps elementary and middle school boys grow in five core ways.

Self ConfidenceRecognizing their unique strengths and valuing those qualities in themselves and others.
Emotional AwarenessIdentifying emotions and learning strategies to manage challenging situations and feelings.
Friendship & TeamworkCreating a respectful, encouraging, and supportive community built on shared goals.
PerseveranceSetting goals and responsibly choosing what is right over what is easy.
Physical HealthTeaching accessible exercise, stretching, form and strength training techniques for life.

Help Us Finish the Year Strong

There are no tickets for this event. Instead, we invite you to make a gift to Let Me Run’s Year-End Appeal, so financial barriers never stand in the way of a boy joining the program.

Can’t Make It?

We’ll miss you, but you can still be part of the evening. Your gift helps more boys across the country cross the finish line together.
