Why Let Me Run?

Let Me Run is not just a running program; it's a transformative experience that shapes young boys into confident, resilient individuals equipped with the skills and mindset to navigate life's challenges. At Let Me Run we believe in the power of physical activity, combined with character development, to instill values such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-respect. Our program goes beyond the track, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose in each participant. As a mother of three, I know how important it is for young people to feel part of something and to feel seen. Let Me Run does this by empowering boys to believe in themselves, embrace their uniqueness, and reach their full potential.

What is your role in Let Me Run?

As the National Director of Marketing and Communications at Let Me Run I am responsible for amplifying our message across all platforms and ensuring our mission reaches as many communities as possible. My goal is that every boy who wants to join a Let Me Run team across the country has the opportunity to do so. I oversee all aspects of communication strategy, branding, PR, and partnerships to raise awareness and support for our cause. I also provide support to our amazing regional staff and volunteers. By effectively promoting Let Me Run’s mission, engaging stakeholders, and building a strong brand presence my role is to ensure that Let Me Run continues to grow and impact the lives of young boys across the country.

What do you hope for Let Me Run boys?

My hope for Let Me Run boys is that each and every one of them discovers their inherent worth, cultivates resilience, and embraces their unique potential. Through our program, I envision boys developing not only as runners but as compassionate leaders who uplift and support one another. Running is a lifelong sport that Let Me Run boys will carry with them wherever their journey may lead. For me running is a way to have fun, connect with nature, and reenergize. I hope Let Me Run boys feel the same and bring the lessons learned on the track into all aspects of their lives, becoming confident individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
